504 Gateway Timeout Error Loading Content Collection 360 View Report

Description:
If tracking is enabled on files such as banner images that are embedded in many courses, the amount of tracking data increases causing sluggishness when loading 360 View report from the Content Collection. Eventually the report can time out due to the large amount of tracking data.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an instructor
  2. Navigate to Content Collection > institution 
  3. Click the contextual menu of the image file within the content folder that has Tracking enabled
  4. Select 360 View
Observed Behavior:
Getting 504 Gateway Timeout error

Expected Behavor:
360 View report loads successfully


Cause:

The 360 View content item report does not paginate or limit the number of Tracking Data to load.

Resolution/Workaround:

Stop tracking the entire images folder as follow:
  1. Navigate to the folder where images are stored in the Content Collection
  2. Click the contextual menu and select 'Edit Settings'
  3. Select 'No Tracking'
  4. Click Submit
