Article No.: 000076359
Product:
Learn SaaS
Release:
SaaS
Service Pack(s):
Ultra
Description:
Students and instructors are unable to view feedback for assessments when the feedback is added using a Deep Linking LTI tool (Content Market Tool) in Ultra courses. When they click on the Feedback icon in the gradebook, the feedback text is not shown and the LTI tool page is shown instead. This behavior is inconsistent since the students will be able to view the feedback if they access to the assessment a second time.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log in to Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an Instructor
  2. Access to an Ultra view course
  3. Go to Course Content, then, click on the "Plus" (+) icon and select Content Market
  4. Create an Assignment using any of the available Content Market LTI Tools (e.g. Turnitin Assignments): Turnitin Assignment.PNG
  5. Log in to the Blackboard Learn Ultra environment as a Student
  6. Go to Courses (Ultra Base Navigation) and locate the course selected in step 2
  7. Submit an attempt for the LTI Assignment created previously
  8. Log in to the Blackboard Learn Ultra environment as an Instructor again
  9. Go to the course selected in step 2
  10. Locate the LTI Assignment and open the Grading View in the LTI Assignment page
  11. Grade the Assignment and leave a grading comment for any student enrolled in the course
  12. In the course, go to Gradebook (top navigation tab)
  13. Click on the Students tab (Right-Hand side of "Gradable Items")
  14. Locate the student who the Feedback and Grade was submitted for (Step 6)
  15. Click on the Overall Grade value for the student to view their grades.
  16. Note that the grade for the LTI Assignment is visible and the Feedback column shows an icon to indicate that feedback for the assignment is available: Feedback icon 1.PNG
  17. Click on the Feedback icon; the feedback is not shown and the LTI Assignment page is shown instead
  18. Log in to the Blackboard Learn Ultra environment as a Student
  19. Go to Courses (Ultra Base Navigation)
  20. Access to the course selected in Step 2
  21. Go to Gradebook (top navigation tab)
  22. Locate the LTI Assignment created in Step 4
As in the Instructor's view, note that the Grade and the Feedback icon are available:
