CategoryPlanned First Fix Release:Working as Intended; Product:Blackboard Learn MH,Blackboard Learn SaaS,Blackboard Learn Software; Version:SaaS,Older_Release
Article No.: 000076343
Product:
Learn SaaS
Release:
9.1;SaaS
Service Pack(s):
SaaS, Older_Release
Description:
After unmerging a course and choosing the default of 'Retain enrollments in Parent Course' the link in the enrollment for the child course remains also. This causes bad links when the users enrollment is re-enabled in the old parent course.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an administrator
  2. Create a Parent Course, P0 and a Child Course C1
  3. Create a user and enroll it in C1 as a student
  4. Merge C1 with P0. C1's enrollment now appears in P0 as expected.
  5. Separate C1 from P0 using 'Retain enrollments in Parent Course'. The user's enrollment becomes unavailable in P0; C1 is separated; as expected.
  6. In P0, make the user's enrollment available again.
  7. Log in as the test user

Observed Behavior:
The test user now has two instances of the same course title and course code in their Course Catalogue. One link points to P0 and the other points to C1, but the student user sees both links as C1's title and course code.

Expected Behavior:
User should be shown enrolled on the two separate courses.

Target Release:

Functioning as Designed
