Description:
When a user sets up assessments with conditional release to groups/specific individuals, they lose the ability to decide to show/hide the content prior to release. The text of the feature shows but the checkbox is missing.
The option to show/hide content prior to release is still there if the content is planned for “all students” but not when groups/specific individuals release is selected.
Steps to Repeat:
- Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an Administrator
- Create an Ultra course
- Create a content item / assignment / test and set a due date some day in the future
- Go to release conditions and select All Members
- Select a date to show the content before the due date
- Scroll down and observe the options:
When will content appear?
Choose if you want the content to appear before course members meet the release conditions
Show - All course members can see this item in the content list, but they can’t open it until all release conditions are met.
Hide - Hidden items don't appear in the content list until conditions are met.
- Login as a student enrolled in the course
- Observe that the content is listed as unavailable in the course
- Go back to edit the content release conditions (or create a new one) and select Specific Member or Groups
- Select a date to show the content some day before the due date
Observed Behavior:
Scroll down and observe the text but no options:
When will content appear?
This item is visible in the content list to the members you selected. You can limit their access with the date/time and performance conditions.
Expected Behavior:
The option should be available.
Observed Behavior 2:
Login as the student that was selected in the above release conditions and observe that the content is not listed in the course.
