SVG Banner Image not Displaying on Course Entry Page

Description:
SVG Scalable Vector Graphics Banner image not displaying on course entry page. 

SVG images no longer render if they are uploaded as course banner images (previously uploaded SVG files still work fine).
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as an Administrator 
  2. Access any Original course 
  3. Navigate to Customization > Teaching Style > Banner Image 
  4. Browse computer and upload an SVG banner image
  5. Navigate to Course Entry Page
Observed Behavior: 
SVG Banner image not displaying.

Expected Behavior: 
SVG Banner image displays.
