Blackboard Cloud IP Addresses

Introduction:

For Self-Hosted environments, the URL entered into the Cloud Connector screen needs to match the Fully Qualified Domain Name.   
  1. The hostname for production should not be reused for test.
  2. The URL must be preceded with https:// not http://.
If Blackboard runs from behind a firewall as a test server or for security reasons, the firewall will need to be opened to use these features. 
    
To open bidirectional communication to Cloud Services, the firewall must be configured to 
 
nat.registrar.api.blackboard.com: 54.209.74.47

In May, 2022 the registrar was migrated to new infrastructure and all previous IPs and hostnames are obsolete.

While the IP address is not intended to be changed: the hostname is definitive.
