Service Pack(s):
3900.118.0, 3900.121.0, 3900.123.0
Description:
When a Learning Module has Forced Sequence enabled and contains a folder with documents, students encounter navigation issues. If additional items exist outside the folder, those items become inaccessible, even after students complete the content within the folder. The next item in the sequence displays a lock icon, preventing further progression.
In the module view, clicking the dropdown arrow shows that the folder and its contents are marked with a partially filled black circle, indicating the content is 'In progress'. However, it should display a green check mark to indicate completion. As a result, the sequence is not recognized as complete, and students are blocked from advancing.
Steps to Repeat:
- Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
- Navigate to System Admin > Courses
- Create a new Ultra course > Open the course and enable Progress Tracking
- Create a Learning Module with Forced Sequence enabled
- Create a Document within the Learning module
- Create a Folder below the previously created document
- Create two Documents within the folder
- Create another Document below the folder
- Login as a student or switch to Student Preview
- Click on Start and click on Next to navigate to the next item in the module
Observed Behavior:
The student is unable to proceed to the next item after completing the items within the folder. The item following the folder remains locked.
Expected Behavior:
The student should be able to proceed to the next item in the Learning Module once the previous items, including those within the folder, are completed.
