Students See Discussion Participants Grayed Out and Crossed Out in Ultra

Description:

In Ultra courses when a student accesses a discussion board, the other participants are displayed with their photo grayed out and crossed out.

This occurs to regular students, not to Student Preview, instructors or administrators. 

Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator 
  2. Create an Ultra course and enroll 4 students
  3. Create a discussion
  4. Log in as a student
  5. Go to the discussion
  6. Look at the other users' profile photo
  7. Repeat it with the rest of the students

 

 

Observed Behavior:

The other participants' profile photos are shown grayed out and crossed out.

 

Expected Behavior:

The other participants' profile photos are shown as they are.
