EBSCOhost Web Link Authentication Error in Apps

Description:
Upon accessing an EBSCOhost Web Link from the Blackboard app and Blackboard Instructor app, an authentication error is shown.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Create a Web Link content item pointing to an EBSCOhost URL.
  2. Access the content item in the Blackboard app or Blackboard Instructor app.
Observed Behavior: 
The EBSCOhost Web Link does not open within the in-app browser. Instead an error is displayed: "We are unable to validate your login credentials. Please contact your institution for assistance. Please note, Referring URL authentication may have been prevented by antivirus or privacy control software. [Authentication Error Code 103]"

Expected Behavior:
The EBSCOhost Web Link opens within the in-app browser.
