Description:
If a custom folder that is used as a user's home folder is deleted, then the user no longer has access to the Content Collection.
Steps to Repeat:
Prerequisites: Content System is enabled.
- Navigate to Blackboard Learn as Administrator
- Go to Tools > Content Collection > Institution Content
- Create a folder
- Click on Personal Settings
- Under Home Page Settings select Custom Location
- Browse to the folder you just created
- Click Submit
- Then, navigate back to Tools > Content Collection
- Note the home folder is now Institution: FOLDERNAME
- Click on Institution Content
- In the context menu next to FOLDERNAME click Delete
- Close the Content Collection using the X button
- Go to Tools > Content Collection again
Observed Behavior: This error is shown: Cannot display that location. Either the user, pass, or the folder does not exist.
Expected Behavior: As the folder no longer exists the Home Page reverts back to system default
