Descripción:

In the Ultra course view, zero is not recognized as a valid grade when an attempt is automatically graded with zero. To assign a grade of 0, the instructor must enter a different value before re-entering zero. This issue impacts the 'Needs Grading' count for gradable discussion boards.

Pasos para repetir:

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
  2. Create an Ultra Course
  3. In the Gradebook settings, enable the Automatic Zero feature
  4. Create a gradable Discussion Board
  5. Set a Past due date for Discussion board
  6. Using the Student Preview mode post in the Discussion Board
  7. Exit Student Preview and navigate to the Gradebook Overview
  8. Notice that there is a Needs Grading (1) count for the Discussion Board
  9. Insert a zero (0) in the grade pill

Observed Behavior:

The 'Needs Grading' count does not decrease after entering a zero (0).

Expected Behavior:

The Needs Grading' count should decrease after entering the zero (0).

Resolución/Solución alternativa:

To grade the underlying attempt, the instructor can click on the attempt and grade it in the grading view (Flex Grading view). This will grade the attempt and in turn remove the autozero and decrease the needs-grading count.
