User Profile Shows Fields That are Hidden as per the Administrator Configuration

Descripción: User Profile pages display fields that administrators have marked as hidden in Customize User Information.

Pasos para repetir:

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
  2. Navigate to Admin > select Customize User Information
  3. Uncheck the Display option for all of the available fields > click on Submit
  4. Close the Administrator Panel > click on User Profile 
  5. The Additional Information section is not displayed
  6. Navigate to Admin > select Customize User Information
  7. Check the option for Other Name including Editable and 'Allow users to choose their display name'
  8. Close the Administrator Panel > click on User Profile 
  9. Proceed to check other User Profile pages

 


Observed Behavior

The additional Information section shows with the Additional Name and also other fields that should be hidden. 

 

Expected Behavior:

Additional Information section shows with the Additional Name. 

 
Síntomas: For existing users their profile pages may display various hidden fields.  For newly created users, their profile pages may show Gender and Education Level fields intended to be hidden.
