Descripción: When instructors override grades in the gradebook without opening the student's submission, a problem arises. In these cases, the items are still marked as "Needs Grading," creating confusion about the actual grading status.

Pasos para repetir:

  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
  2. Navigate to Admin > Courses > Open any Ultra course
  3. Enroll a student and an instructor
  4. Create a test with an essay question (or anything where the grade is not calculated/posted automatically)
  5. Create a new assignment and a discussion as well
  6. Make all the created content Visible to students
  7. Log in as the enrolled student and make a submission to the test, assignment and discussion
  8. Log in as the instructor and open the Gradebook
  9. Enter the grades for the submissions made by the student from the gradebook page and override the grades
  10. After overriding the grades, refresh and go back to the Gradebook page

Observed Behavior:
In the Gradebook the gradable items status shows all as 'To Grade'.

Expected Behavior:
In the Gradebook the gradable items status shows all as graded.

Resolución/Solución alternativa: Open the student's submission and assign the grade from there, instead of using the grade override option in the gradebook.
