Cengage Partner Cloud and LTI1.3 Import Content Issue Resolution

Bulletin/Advisory Information: This announcement is to inform Blackboard clients of the Cengage Partner Cloud and Cengage LTI1.3 integration due to an unintended after-effect of a recent update to the Cengage tool profile to support the release of the Cengage Content Migration Tool, the import of content is no longer working.

 
To resolve the content import issue, Blackboard administrators must update the Cengage tool as follows:
 
  1. Login as a Blackboard administrator and navigate to the Admin Panel
  2. Under the Integrations module click LTI Tool Providers
  3. Click Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool. This step is required even if the tool was registered previously. 
  4. Copy and paste the Cengage Client ID be055f0d-fc61-408d-a8d0-c6c9e6b379e6 into the Client ID field and click Submit
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Tool Provider settings and click Submit again
 
The existing Cengage Partner Cloud tool registration will be synchronized with the updated Partner Cloud profile. Confirm the update was successful by importing content into a course using the Cengage Partner Cloud tool.
