Product: Learn SaaS
Release: SaaS
Service Pack(s): Ultra
Description: In Ultra view mode, when Safari browser is used the 'Enable Microsoft Teams' link will be missing. However, the link will be available when other browsers are used.
Steps to Replicate:
- Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator using Safari browser
- Go to System Admin > LTI Tool Providers
- Make sure the following two LTI providers are configured successfully:
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Teams for Learn Ultra
- Go back to System Admin > Courses
- Search and access an Ultra course
Observed Behavior:
The "Enable MS Teams" link is missing the "Details & Actions" section of the course when using Safari browser only.
Expected Behavior:
The "Enable MS Teams" link will be listed within the "Details & Actions" section of the course
Resolution/Workaround:
- Use a different browser than Safari.
- Per Learn Product Development, MS Teams Classes requires cookies in the browser by design. If an end-user wants to see the MS Teams in Safari, the user must uncheck the "Prevent cross-site tracking" in the browser Settings (Preferences) > Privacy tab.
Information: This is not a bug, it is a expected behavior. If the user wants to see the MS Teams in Safari they have to uncheck the "Prevent cross-site tracking" since MS Teams Classes requires cookies in the browser.
Target Release: Functioning as Designed
